Most FDE 2026 candidates appear in a written test conducted by the testing agency. Below are key preparation tips to maximise your score:

• Syllabus: Check the syllabus in FDE portal and focus on English, Mathematics, General Knowledge (Pakistan Affairs), Islamiyat and subject-specific topics for your post. Apne post ka syllabus FDE portal se download karein.
• Past Papers: Solve at least 5 years of past papers for NTS/PPSC to understand the MCQ pattern and time management. Past papers se MCQ pattern samjhein aur speed practice karein.
• Current Affairs: Read daily English and Urdu newspapers for current affairs, which account for 20–30% of most written tests. Rozana akhbaar parhen — current affairs aur Pakistan affairs ke liye.
• Time Management: In the test hall, spend no more than 1 minute per MCQ. Skip and return to difficult questions. Test mein har MCQ pe 1 minute se zyada nahi — mushkil sawaal chhod ke aagay barhen.
• Admit Card: Download your roll number slip from FDE portal at least 3 days before the test date and bring a printed copy along with original CNIC. Test se 3 din pehle roll number slip download karein aur original CNIC saath lein.
