Fact Checking Policy
Last updated: 21 June 2026
SkillzDunya is a job aggregation portal. We display job information from third-party sources. This page explains the best-effort practices we follow to avoid displaying obviously incorrect or suspicious listings — but we are not a fact-checking organization and make no guarantees of accuracy.
1. Why Fact-Checking Matters for Job Seekers
Pakistan's job market is rife with fraudulent advertisements, expired listings shared on social media, and fake "agent" schemes. A Pakistani job seeker who acts on incorrect information may:
- Miss a real application deadline due to incorrect date information
- Pay a fraudulent "processing fee" to a fake recruiter
- Travel to a city for an interview that was cancelled
- Apply for a position that was already filled or never existed
SkillzDunya makes best-effort attempts to avoid displaying such fraudulent content, but we cannot guarantee the detection or prevention of all such cases. Users must exercise their own judgment and verify all information at official sources.
2. What We Look For
On a best-effort basis, when collecting listings we look for obvious issues such as:
- Organization identity — Is this a real, registered organization? Is this an official announcement from that organization?
- Position details — Do the stated positions, pay scales, and qualifications match the source document exactly?
- Application deadline — Is the last date to apply accurately transcribed from the original advertisement?
- Application method — Is the application process (online form, postal address, walk-in) correctly described?
- Fee claims — We flag any advertisement that appears to solicit application fees from candidates, as legitimate government jobs in Pakistan are typically free to apply for.
3. Red Flags We Watch For
Our team is trained to identify and reject listings that exhibit these warning signs:
- No traceable primary source (not from a government portal, official website, or recognized newspaper)
- Requests for payment, agent fees, or "processing charges" from applicants
- Offers that seem too good to be true (unrealistic salaries for stated qualifications)
- Contact details that differ from the organization's official published contacts
- Advertisements that have been shared as images on WhatsApp or social media without a verifiable original source
- Duplicate advertisements claiming to be the same position from different "sources"
4. Source Preference
We prefer listings that originate from primary sources such as official government portals or recognized newspapers. Where possible, we prefer listings that can be cross-referenced against more than one source. However, this is a preference — not a guarantee — and we do not warrant that every listing on SkillzDunya meets this standard.
5. After Publication
Job advertisements change after initial publication — corrigenda, date extensions, and cancellations are common. SkillzDunya makes reasonable efforts to update listings when we become aware of such changes, but we cannot guarantee that our site reflects the latest status of every listing at all times. Users should always check the official source for the most current information.
6. Transparency in Uncertainty
Where information is unconfirmed, ambiguous, or pending official clarification, we say so clearly. We use language like "pending official confirmation" or "as per newspaper advertisement — verify at official source" to indicate the degree of certainty. We do not state uncertain information as confirmed fact.
7. Report Misinformation
If you believe any listing on SkillzDunya contains incorrect information, please report it immediately via our Contact page. Include:
- The URL of the listing in question
- The specific information you believe is incorrect
- A reference to the correct primary source (if available)
We investigate all reports and respond within 48 hours.
